The project looked to bring back to life a structurally unsound yet beautifully crumbling grade II listed early Georgian house that formed one half of a pair of villas edging A. Square in Camberwell.

The house had been sold with planning consent for a refurbishment and rear extension yet it was the ambitions of my client, and their interior designer, to work with us to improve on this consent in scale, quality an internal arrangement to restore the house in a way that allowed the new and old to coexist with harmonious distinction.

We worked closely with a team of advisors to achieve successful planning consent for a full renovation, including a new stair and several new openings and both rear and side extensions. Particular care was taken over the design and articulation of our arguments to gain the trust and support of the council to ensure a step towards the successful restoration of this fine house.
